The stronghold that credit
card companies have over American buyer's these days has become far
too out of balance for some citizens to digest. This is part of the
motivation for filmmaker Danny Schechter, who has written and
directed a feature-length documentary entitled In Debt We Trust:
American Before the Bubble Bursts. Primarily taking shots at
credit card companies, such as MasterCards, the film urges Americans
and the Federal Reserve to take action against the powerful credit
companies who have wracked up over $2.17 billion in debt owed to
them from American borrowers. The film is still seeking distribution
as Schecter pitches it to big-time movie distributors, whether it be
for major theatrical release or straight to DVD. |
